The Aboriginals taught the Early Settlers techniques to live. They taught them which weapons to hunt with. For example: Axes, Spears, Clubs, etc. Hunting was also a source of food and clothing. The Aboriginals worked together to teach the Early Settlers which crops to grow. They taught them to grow corn, beans, squash, etc. Corn, beans, squash were called The Three Sisters Clothing was also taught by the Aboriginals. Animal skin was the material to make clothing such as vests,moccasins, suspenders, etc. Beads were sewn on to the leather to make the clothing very attractive. They shared thoughts about shelter. Wigwams, skin tents, tepees, etc were used for shelter. The Early Settlers were taught to use travois’s, rafts, snowshoes, etc were from the Aboriginals to travel. The Aboriginals taught the Early Settlers what ingredients to make the best medicine. Plants and herbs were the best. An example of a plant could be an Aloe plant. These were several things the Aboriginals taught the Early Settlers.
